Through a series of events, it aims to provide various services and support to high-quality Hong Kong start-ups for entrepreneurship in Qianhai, facilitating their landing in Qianhai and thriving in the Greater Bay Area. |
| I. Project Background In the 2023 Policy Address, the Chief Executive announced a new round of the "Greater Bay Area Youth Entrepreneurship Funding Scheme" to provide capital funding and support services to Hong Kong youth interested in starting businesses in Hong Kong and mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area. The Home Affairs and Youth Bureau and the Youth Development Committee have launched a new round of the "Greater Bay Area Youth Entrepreneurship Funding Scheme" (hereinafter referred to as the "Funding Scheme"). The Funding Scheme consists of two parts: the "Greater Bay Area Youth Entrepreneurship Funding Scheme - Entrepreneurship Support and Incubation Services" (hereinafter referred to as the "Support and Incubation Services Part") and the "Greater Bay Area Youth Entrepreneurship Funding Scheme - Entrepreneurship Capital Funding" (hereinafter referred to as the "Capital Funding Part"). The Funding Scheme Services Part funds Hong Kong non-governmental organizations to provide deeper, broader, more targeted, and sustainable entrepreneurship support and incubation services to Hong Kong youth, including assisting enterprises in establishing their presence in innovation and entrepreneurship bases in Hong Kong and mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area. By providing these services, the organizations can inspire and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of young people and allow them to engage with diverse individuals during the entrepreneurial process, absorbing knowledge and valuable experiences from various aspects to assist them in making appropriate decisions throughout their entrepreneurial journey. The Capital Funding Part of the Funding Scheme provides seed funding to young start-ups through funded organizations and requires matching contributions. This further addresses their capital needs during the initial stages of entrepreneurship in Hong Kong and mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area. |
